I say thats a pretty cool idea... or maybe if you did something in your dream, such as a short adventure in an overworld area. Someone should do this in a mod.
Yeah, I was thinking that you would have to do something...
like a quest! Where you would have to kill a huge pig! Or run from a HUGE zombie army!
Or just have a cutscene.
I think that it would just be a waste of time but I have a solution for that. See, people sleep JUST to get past night so they can continue working. I think that if dreams are implemented a reward would be needed so that it would not be a waste. Maybe, there would be a small arena in the sky world and when you teleport there in a dream you have everything that was in you inventory when you fell asleep. You would have to defeat larger mobs, pigs, chickens, cows, zombies, creepers, skeletons, and spiders. The passive mobs would be dreams and the aggressive mobs would be nightmares. After defeating them they would drop multiple of the items that their normal forms would drop. Once they are defeated you would be able to walk into the room they were guarding. In the room would be a single chest with 3-5 ore. The more difficult the challenge, the better the ore. For example the pig might drop 5 pork and in the room would be 3 coal. A cow might drop 4 leather and in the room would be 4 iron. This would all build up to a creeper that would drop sulfur and guards a room with diamond. People would enjoy sleeping as it would occasional reward them with dreams or nightmares. They would have to be prepared for a fight. It would add more adventure into the game as Notch wants to do.

but, I think it would be cool if Notch added short animations after the sleep animation!
I've had the idea for months now!
So I decided to become a member!
I think that would be pretty cool. One cutscene is a HUGE Creeper chasing you...
