Ok, tried searching around a bit to see if anyone had mentioned this, but there was alot to dig through. My apologies if I'm reapeating.
Servers can run multiple worlds, but these worlds are forced to use the same settings. Mostly what annoys me is that I would like to host a creative map and a survival map on the same server. The creative map should not have animals or monsters in it, but the survival one should.
Given that the server is a bit popular and many of the players would wish to do a bit of both, the only solution I can figure out is to host two servers. While this is doable, it still consumes alot more resources than it should, given that the only thing that separates the two worlds are 2 points of settings.
Is this just me being stupid here and not seeing a better way? Or is this actually the truth?
I can imagine it being hard to have the worlds have their own property-files, or at least add some functionality in the server software to allow a server operator to have separate settings if they wish it?

Go to the bukkit website and make this suggestion. Actually, you can do this with existing bukkit mods already I believe.
