Ropes are a transparent block that can only be placed on the bottom of other blocks, when placed it extends down until it hits another block. The player can only use ropes to repel not climb. They can be crafted like the following.
= leather = String
This crafts four units of rope (which looks like brown string in your invintory.)
But this is not all ropes are used for. They can also be used to tie or leash things. For example If I came across across a cow while exploring and I liked this cow I could use the rope by right clicking the cow. Now the cow becomes leashed and I can pull it to my home. Then I can rightclick the ground tieing the cow to the rope to the ground. Also mobs that are tied to stuff never despawn. (unless they are killed).
Whips
Whips can be crafted like the following.
= Rope
Whips look and work like a fishing rod. They fly out and hit stuff dealing as much damage as an arrow. When they hit something they make a CRACK! sound. They can be used to push or pull mobs Rightclick = pull Leftclick = push. They can also pull of hit Items the same way.
Giant Moths
The Idea for the moth mob is to have a mob that is meant to not hurt the player but support other mobs. Moths spawn on the bottom of surfaces that are not light moths can fly but they do so very slowly. They have one heart of health and can spawn in a 1x1x1 area. They push the player and do not hurt them. But there main purpose it to attack light, they hit torches (this includes redstone) of walls and break glowstone. Hence enabling the spawning of other mobs. If you have any Ideas for there drops leave them in the comments.
Both have been said before but I really like how you implemented the Whip. It's not too strong, and is actually very useful as a tool and a weapon. That being said, you should check the Gigathread for the weapons megathread and add that idea to there. Trying to keep all the weapon ideas in one thread and all that.
