Me and a friend were talking one day about how useless slime was, and after some time we started coming up with different possible uses for it.
One of them was to be able to throw slime at a block on the ground and it would coat the top side of the block in a thin layer of slime. This thin layer would be as slick, or more so than ice. If the slime is thrown at a wall it could either have no effect at all, or it would slide down the wall until it settled on a floor block. Similar for hitting a ceiling block; either no effect, or it falls until it hits a floor block.
I'm not entirely sure what uses it may have, but I'm sure there are a few. Possibly in base defenses or in mob farms/traps.
