you guys know of the painterly pack?
you know how you can customize the different items together?
well what if someone made a program that does that with your custom made textures.
that way when someone makes a texture pack they can more easily implement it.
for personal use or for sharing why not make something that does it?
its hard enough making a good looking texture pack. why make it hard to distribute it properly?
hopefully someone makes it for mac pc and linux. preferably windows first.since i use it.
and i have suggestions for it if someone decides to make it.
1. make it gui based for easier use.
2.use of individual pieces of gui instead of each and every piece.
for example one wants gets two texture packs.
both for weapons. and you want to use some of each at the same time.
take the wood weapons and the stone from one and the gold and diamond from another.
thats what i want in it.
3. take your time. dont want it to be rushed and then be crappy and then you have to patch it over and over.
also to mitigate stress. mitigate means make less of. just so you dont have to look it up.
I'm not sure I understand what you are talking about. I've never heard of "Painterly Pack".
Do you mean:
1: Make creating zip files easier?
2: Implement a selection of premade textures and sprites to put in "your" texture pack?
3: Add a gui similiar to MCskineditor?

1: yes but more.
2:...well yes... but i didnt mean to distribute them as your own...
3:no.
and for painterly pack look it up.
you will understand what i mean when you try it out.
I would like a MCSkinEdit-esque program, where it shows you where everything goes and you color it in. Or, you paint on texture at a time and it compresses it all into a zip file.
thats not what i meant...
what i meant for the packer was to put textures into it then place them into order then pack them...
but your idea of what i meant is better. as long as you can still put premade textures into it.
