I think it would be neat for notch to give the Minecraft character a name. Not a specific name but more like a species name I guess you could say. For instance, littlebigplanet has sackboys, halo has spartans, things like that. Just an idea. And I'm sure someones going to comment that you choose your own name when you sign up, that's not what I mean, read again.
Been noticing this phenomenon more where people who hold standards that above average are silenced while those with standards lower than average are viewed as pleasant and preferable. No wonder mass media is in such ****.
Its not supposed to have a point it's just for fun or to better define a minecraft character other than "minecraft character". Your attitude would suggest you think the name creeper is pointless, would you rather have them be called "green monsters". My idea is just the same.

"Creeper" is the SPECIES of those exploding green things.
"Human" is the species of the Minecraft character.

Don't spout incompetent crap at me next time.
Going back to my example, in halo they are called Spartans, but are really humans. In littlebigplanet they are called sack boys but are really puppets or stuffed animals. In resistance they are called chimera but are really humans. In mirrors edge they are called runners but are really humans. Now do you understand what I'm suggesting

In LBP, they are boys made of burlap sacks. SACK BOYS. Essentially, their species. In the case of the Minecraft character, this species is human.
The Chimera are a parasitic alien species. Not human.
In Halo, they are altered supersoldiers named after the famously war-bent Spartans of ancient Greece. Not all humans are called such. Just the supersoldiers, to separate them from the rest.
In Mirror's Edge, "runner" describes a profession of sorts, implementing parkour (running) to deliver secret messages and such throughout the dystopia. Much like "teacher" denotes one who teaches.
So again, the Minecraft character is called a human, just as creepers are called creepers, because those are the respective names of each species. No need to make up a new one.

Why are looking so far into this? All I suggested was a simple name. Technically the name "Minecraft" is pointless, minecraft is a "game". But "Minecraft" gives it it's own title as to distinguish from other "games". Why can't we do the same with the character? If you hear the word "human" you would not think of the minecraft character just as I you heard the word "game" you would not know it's referring to minecraft. That is the point of names, if you weren't aware.

Humans also ave seperate names, but they aren't seperate species. The minecraft guys "Human Name" is Steve. If you want to give him a nickname like in mirrors edge, call him crafter

I'm not looking far into it. I'm just indicating the abundant flaws in your crappy argument employing Halo and those other games, as well as that nonsense about creepers earlier.
It's a human. Deal with it. Just as Chimera are Chimera, Sackboys are Sackboys, SPARTANS are SPARTANS, runners are runners, and creepers are creepers.

Do you show children your phallus? Is that what you want them to see?
Really, the issue the OP has is the graphics of Minecraft. They don't make Steve look flawlessly and exactly human, like GTA IV or some ****, so he obviously must not be human.
Humans also ave seperate names, but they aren't seperate species. The minecraft guys "Human Name" is Steve. If you want to give him a nickname like in mirrors edge, call him crafter
At least you understand what I'm saying. Something like "crafter" as you suggest is exactly what I mean.
Okay, maybe species was the wrong word. Just something like "blockman" (lterrible example)
Pointless and stupid.

we minecraftians look nothing like humans....XD

Who let your ignorance back in?
Head, arms, torso, legs. Eyes. Clothes. Bipedal. Uses tools. Nothing like humans? Read a damn textbook.
You calling apes human too? They fit those categories.

What are people who build **** called in reality? Problem solved. Suggestion pointless.
