maybe if you could press a button to allow you to move your mouse around in a small area to aim slightly better. could be useful with sdk gun mod. when you press the button it will toggle(or just hold it)to aim. if you try to move the mouse out of the zone, the screen will move. an optional thing could be that aiming also moves your arm or tool your using
Oh? A few quesitons that may ruin your idea, but are true.....
Okay, if I'm talking in a Multiplayer Server in a dark area, and I push A by accident instead of Caps Lock, I'm going to find myself talking with my cursor way off. My message is technically going to be lacking A's. "Hey, dude, c n you sp re me block of di mond? I re lly need it, ple se send me block." While at the same time trying to fight mobs, having a fight with my A key, and also trying to clarify what I've written. The "A" button seems.... Just not very convenient.
TL;DR: Talking on Multiplayer with A as the toggle may be hard...
Should I commonly use my "A" key, would that affect what I'm typing? If I'm writing to my friends, and commenting "Hello <usernamehere>, could you please just PLEASE send me a few blocks of Obsidian? Later, do you want to help me create a Spleef Arena? Thanks, reply ASAP." The message would more or likely turn out "Hello <usernamehere>, could you ple se just PLE SE send me few blocks of Obsidi n? L ter, do you w nt to help me cre te Spleef Ren ? Th nks, reply S P." I would HONESTLY hope none of my friends would message me that.
TL;DR; A" can be used more commonly than what you think.
If I reach over, without knowing that the A key toggles it, trying to hit Caps Lock, how am I supposed to get out?! Most people don't read tutorials. I started in minecraft with just a forth of a tutorial, and some common sense. I later became better at the game, not because I looked at the guide/instructions, but because I EXPERIMENTED. It's sort of like a game that nobody has played, when you're playing on Multiplayer. "No, stop turning your light on and off~!!!!!!" "Dude, wrong portal!!!" "OMG, don't hit it with your fists!!!". A person may be stuck with it for a while, it would honestly have me nearly screaming trying to figure out what button to push to turn the aim off.
TL;DR: Nobody refers to tutorials, but rather The Minecraft Wiki
Can this plain be put into minecraft? I highly doubt it. You said yourself it would be good for a mod. I really don't suppose minecraft is made up of mods. It's not like you're REQUIRED to have a mod on minecraft to play. That would be like saying you have to have the Half Life CD to play PORTAL. I seriously doubt too many people would enjoy a mod.
Is this in the right Forum? No, it's not. This should be something you should suggest to the creator, whenever you put a forum on the Minecraft Suggestions forum, it usually means you want to suggest something FOR Minecraft, instead of just something for a mod. Unless the mod is permanently on Minecraft [WHICH WOULD SUCK], this doesn't really belong on the Suggestions forum. I don't WANT to have a gun mod on my Minecraft unless I actually saw it, or perhaps actually found it interesting.
TL;DR: Mods shouldn't be FORCED onto minecraft.
COMPLETE TL;DR: It would make no sense to have a key that is commonly used as a key for an aim. This is also on the wrong forum, and the GUN mod is being suggested itself for Minecraft.
