I know you are trying to crack down on the pirated software, making people have to sign in, in order to play the game, but the problem is that there are times when someone isn't able to get onto the internet. For instance, our internet is flaky right now and if I log in, the internet shuts off, and minecraft crashes (my laptop sometimes can't handle it), or worse yet, I have no internet, then I can't get on.
Also, in a couple of weeks, we are driving to IL and I will be two days in the passenger seat with almost nothing to do, except maybe count the dotted lines on the highway. I prefer to play minecraft.
So here's my idea: Have it automatically log in for 30 days, then expire where the person would have to log in again. This allows a little more freedom to play minecraft when someone can't get online, and yet helps prevent the software from being distributed without cracking it.
I've searched the forums for this idea, but haven't found it. If there is one that I missed, feel free to pull this thread.
Press your start button and type in minecraft. Press the one with the symbol of a block.
Try to log in. When it says theres not internet, select "play off-line".

Easy as that.
This. If it crashes your internet, disconnect, then launch Minecraft, then reconnect the internet. The only thing your suggestion would help is people sharing their accounts so no one would ever know you had your 27 friends all playing on your account since it only logs in once a month.
