My idea is a pretty simple idea, but could add loads to the content we have, especially when pistons are in the mix, and possible better trapdoors. The idea is two new types of levers that would be almost totally undetectable, since they appear as common objects. Behold the torch lever
It looks like a torch, get it? You know like those old movies where they had this. WHn you right click on it, it sticks out and activates redstone, like a torch.
Second lever is the bookshelf lever, it looks like a bookshelf, and when you right click on it a book sticks out, and activates redstone.

YES!!! This would be perfect for making secret rooms in bases. The only problem I see is that if you forget where the torch switch is in your base so you have to spend all day removing all of your torches to see which one is the torch switch...... I would probably do that a lot.

Yeah, i thought about that but if we made them look different it would kinda ruin the point
Having a secret bookshelf switch is not pretty good. People in SMP would just klick at all your bookshelves, so you would have to build a hole library to hide. But the library itself would then be suspicious.
You would also need a wire to the effect. How would you hide that?
In general I like the idea of a hidden switch.
There is a possibility there MIGHT be a bookshelf switch, so you hit all of them? I don't think people have that kind of initiative.
But i have to recognize its a great idea for custom maps , but if we think a little , it wont benefit the game.
I think this should be a mod , but hell of great mod it will be !.
And probably notch will ad it , but when MC is like in 2.0 , Notch should probably work in more important aspects other than just hidden things that will make the same thing as a lever.
This would be amazing/annoying for Custom Map makers and for SMP servers.
1) Custom Maps. This would bring a new sense to the word impossible: an entire maze, lit with torches and made out of bookshelves. When you eventually find the door, you can't open it.
But overall I highly approve of it.
