Islands are the perfect place to build in minecraft. You can fill the entire island with whatever you want, and make it truly your own. Spawning islands is very rare though, ones that are just large enough and in the middle of a vast ocean almost never happens. This new biome, the Island/Ocean biome, would be a large ocean, scattered with mineral rich islands, that have varying shapes, sizes, and biombes in those. Some may be desert islands, all sand and cacti, and some may be winter or forrest or whatever.
Yes, technically, all of minecraft is islands, giant islands. I desire a small island, not to big, but enough to fill with cool ideas, and not have a ton of space left.
I think this is a great idea. I also think that you could get mixed tropical islands, like jungle in the middle and sandy on the edges, e.g. Tropical Island example

Terraform the smallest island you can find to the desired size.

Do you show children your phallus? Is that what you want them to see?
This does already exist. I've found bodies of water of varying size with islands of varying size, ranging from huge oceans to small ponds. Some islands little patches of sand, others are big enough to hold a town. Just explore until you find a place you like.
