It is in my personal opinion that water elevators and the like should be brought back, or in general, going back to the old water physics. The old water physics were unrealistic, but they were great fun. it was iconic, and taking them out seems to dampen my minecraft spirits. what do you think?
I only voted yes because he NEEDS to add them back in, without the "water elevator" physics there are bugs where your boats fall underwater and cannot rise again...
Water elevators are pretty cool; BUT, they also works off of buggy BS. Notch will do as he has always done, take the good working parts of a bug and improve upon them and remove the glitchy bug. When the good part is contained, you have less to worry about in total :wink.gif:
Well I'm unaware on what specific conditions for a boat to be permanently submerged. Is it still submerged after you remove the waterfall? I tried it with an open waterfall into a 2 block deepo area of a lake and the boat more floated off the waterfall more than was physically in it and the boat moved forward while slowly floating back to the surface. Otherwise I wouldn't consider it a "bug" if the boat stays submerged while it is under a waterfall when there isn't enough space for it to have moved freely away from it to begin with. Although it should move towards the nearest water opening.
I haven't updated, this has the potential to wreck a great deal of my ****.
They will work in the future, just slower. For now, it's a bug.
OMG!
