Does anyone agree that pyramids were fun to explore and to loot? On a server i play right now, they have an indev map and i find it very fun to make a team to loot the pyramid. this addition can bring more teamwork into the game. This would make a good use for desert biomes as pyramids are only found in deserts (except for the ones the mayan built) maybe some in grassy biomes to remember the mayans? Well, its just an idea and i hope others support it too.

Here's the problem. Minecraft is a game where YOU (or the other people on the server) are the ONLY people in existence. So how are man made structures being built?

I think the only way to explore a pyramid is that a map creator make a Pyramid and to post the download.
I have downloaded a Pyramid map , if you want to played just send me MP or look for it in the Map forums.
I think Pyramid pre-builded in the map is an stupid idea...
At least it will be stupid until Notch add to the game some kind of natives , or probably those mods that include people , probably modders should put the builders to be able to create the pyramids...

One could ask the same about dungeons...
Regardless, if you're looking for something in the way of a "macro-dungeon," OP, this probably isn't it. The things that make a dungeon a dungeon are scarcity and their inconspicuousness. You can make pyramids scarce, yes... But you will see them a mile away if it is there. You have to actively look for dungeons; rarely will you find one just by walking into a cave. But the pyramid is easily spotted while wandering aimlessly.
Whether or not that is a good thing... Is up to each individual player. I'm on the fence for this one; while it would be kind of cool to find something like this... These would probably be way too easy to find.

Are you always so pessimistic?
Yes, yes I am. A pessimist is always either right, or pleasantly surprised.

Egads..this is World of Warcraft meets Battlefield 1942 in a dark alley with way too much to drink and no discarded mattress nearby.

What's the explanation for the skeletons? Skeletons = People with no skin, guts, or brains. How did they get on the cube world of minecraft? They flew here? i dont think so... i'm a theorist by the way.

Wouldn't these be rare though? You wouldn't want to ruin the economy of minecraft.

They are a mob. Notch decided they exist, so they do. This isn't earth. The player's character in game isn't even necessarily a human, although he resembles one. There is no reason to think that there would be any kind of structure similar to earth structures except those made by players (because the players are in fact, humans. They make what they know).
