First, read the REQUIRED READING and could not find anything like this.
Well, I know you are probably wondering what the heck I am talking about. Well, with the removal of boosters, some things just cannot be done anymore. I propose new track types to take place of the old features, so that we can still have our extremely advanced minecart stations. Track pieces such as:
Person Brakes, this one is used in my stations a bit. It acts as a brake until someone gets into the minecart, which triggers the stone pressure plate, which sends a booster through to get the minecart moving again. Simple enough, no?
Picture of how it used to work:
Also, there is this problem.
Person Detector Rails: this unlike Detector Rails that are currently in game can identify if a person is in the minecart. Here is a picture of what it used to look like (The powered rails are just because I could):
Texture pack: Mixcraft HD
Or, on a map:
xxxxTxx
xx||C||
x---|xx
x-x-|xx
x---Pxx
xxx-|xx
xxx-|xx
xxxM|xx
Where X is anything
- is the booster track
| is the main track
P is the pressure plate
C is the curve
T is the Redstone torch
M is the booster minecart
Of course, if you get rid of the booster minecart track and minecart, make everything always on powered rails except for the turn, it would work. IF there was not a small problem. While it can detect players and change the course direction, it will always either not allow the storage/empty minecart OR the player carrying minecart to pass the pressure plate. If that sounds confusing, it just does not do its job anymore.
PROBLEMS WITH SPECIALIZATION
Obviously, these are highly specialized track pieces we are talking here. But I am just asking for adding things we used to have. It is highly probable that Notch did not know of these things when he removed boosters, as these are very complex and specialized designs.
WHAT I PROPOSE
Add track pieces that are like current powered rails, but are off when no person in a minecart is above it, and on when a person in a minecart is above it. Cannot accept outside power sources.
Add another track piece that detects people in minecarts directly over it. This piece of track emits power like normal detector rails.
Crafting Recipes:
Player Brake Rails (First Track Type):
6x Gold Ingot
1x Pressure Plate
1x Redstone Dust
Crafts 6 Player Brake Rails.
Player Detector Rails (Second Track Type):
6x Iron Ingot
1x Stone Pressure Plate
1x Redstone Dust
Crafts 6 Player Detector Rails. Also, since that recipe is already in use, update the current Detector Rails to something a little more accurate:
6x Iron Ingot
1x Wooden Pressure Plate
1x Redstone Dust
I will add more pictures of how everything used to work and what should happen when I get time.
EDIT:
Was just finding some good pictures, found out a way to get my first problem fixed.
Going to find some good video on what boosters used to be able to do as soon as I find my headphones.
The things you describe are still quite possible with powered rails, and a lot of the rest is easier. Check this channel, a lot of useful things, including automatic departure and empty cart detection. http://www.youtube.com/pearsquirrel

Still does not offer a solution for the second problem I have. Just tested.
EDIT: Also, my first problem is not solved. Did you even read what I am trying to do? No offense.
Bump of sorts. OP updated a lot. Added all these:

I'll be honest with you. I have NO idea what you are trying to say. You are clearly making a legitimate effort at a good post but the sentences are really... broken. Go back and spellcheck, grammar check, and add capitalization and punctuation. Remember: A person with a tongue of silver can sell manure better than a person with a tongue of lead can sell gold.

Erm, honestly, my problem with all this lies with what you stated in your first post: Notch probably did not know about these specific uses for booster carts and therefore, imo, a large majority of minecraft players dont know either. I'm glad he removed the boosting from the game because it's nice to be able to put 2 different minecart tracks next to each other without having them unexpectedly boosted to high speeds (yes I'm talking from the perspective of a newer player here, because that's what SHOULD matter to Notch) and even though I see how you have these problems and you'd like to have them fixed, they're problems that are quite specific to you or to the Niche of players that build the elaborate systems you do. And I believe that's exactly what Mods are for - find a coder or learn yourself, and get a Mod made that adds the track pieces you want to the game. As for Notch and the official Engine? Nah, too specific a problem, shouldn't be worried about when there are so many other things to fix/improve/add in/to the game.

What you are saying is:
"All builders should be forced to download mods that might break their game because Notch should care about the average people who have no idea how redstone works and should completely ignore the thousands of players that build with redstone and minecarts. He should remove all functionality of certain things people have come up with in the game for no reason what so ever even when these things could easily be added back into the game without glitches. Yeah, builders, psh, they are just flys, tens of thousands of flys that Notch should not care about."
Also, there are really tens of thousands of players that build stuff like this, and now they can no longer, the ability is completely removed. Just search on youtube. I have seen Minecart stations built by even the newest of players.
I have no clue what the first picture's point is but the second one can be done, i'm pretty sure, without the use of cart boosting. If you need to tell if a cart is manned or unmanned you use the cart's momentum to determine such (leaping carts + hill + boosters tracks on either side).
I am not sure if I get all of this but what I think you are suggesting is that we have brake rails and detector rails. I know it isn't that simple. So here is my input why can't you have a detector rail next to a powered rail so when you go over it it turns off or the other why around. I don't use detector rail so this might not work.

We already have brake rails and detector rails. These are special brake and detector rails that only trigger when a player is in the cart. Don't understand the second half your post though.
Ignore the second half of my post then. Wouldn't you still have to push you cart though to get it started since it is that way with the powered rails.
Yup. But it was not always that way. That is why I propose the new track pieces so that things are as they were, just no boosters.
@Angalex- I tried your idea, and every time got a rather interesting result: the fall distance (Horizontal)was the same whether or not I was in the cart. Well, guess we still need the new track piece then huh? Oh, and if it involves boosters, it will no longer work because those were removed in 1.6, which is why this thread even exists.
