What if we could take our maps, and put them IN the books (normal book, open it, add in a map you currently have that will update or not, not sure which)? That way you need to flip through the pages to find out where you are. Maybe make some notes and stuff, draw a path, etc. Maybe if you need to full screen the book, you could use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out?
cool ideas except for mouse wheel to zoom in, cause alot of people use that to change items in their inventory
I mean, what if you right click when the book is selected, and then it full screens (like the achievement menu) and you can flip pages, use the mouse to draw, mouse wheel to zoom, etc. Hit a button when you're done.

Also, I know marking them is in the Map catch all thread. This should be there too.

No they probably do but it was suggested many times better books might have it or the arts might have it. I know it was suggested though.
I haven't seen anything about putting maps in books, and being able to make notes on them.

Why not just cram them into the notebook?
