ok so hatches are prettie awesome they allow for lost of complex things but they are only wood, and when my server is updated to 1.6.4 / 1.6.5 (if theres ANOTHER update) i would love to be able to protect my items easily because my server as well as many others allow stealing, currently i just have a block placed down, as our server doesnt allow any destruction of blocks what so ever. now i know im sounding very self centered, but lets cut to the chase.
-iron hatch
iron hatches are just like iron doors, but in hatch form. requires red stone to open.
-cobble hatch
looks like cobble, opens down rather then up, good for hidden hatchs
-flood gate hatch
when open even when 1x1 allows liquids to flow through great for traps made like iron but with bucket in the middle
-sensor hatch
made like a hatch but with a pressure plate in the middle. when steped on or "head-butted" will open easy and convenient for ssp, and great for public property in smp.
Not bad. I like the cobble one in particular. If I had it my way I would change it to just "Disguised Hatch" and have it craftable by multiple common housebuilding materials such as Stone, Cobble, Planks, Bricks, and Clay (or Dirt, not sure).

"in the event of a root uprising i would support the robots, does that make me a bad person?"
