If they are making a minecraft for android and the Sony Xperia Play. How about they make a version that is compatible for the Nintendo DS? Just a Suggestion.

Minecraft has 3D anaglyph, so the 3DS would be perfect for the 3D effect.

I won't hold any more discussions on this topic here; I will support your move toward an existing topic, but use search, and add your support to an existing topic instead of creating your own.
I don't know, but I'd assume that the 3DS is more powerful than a lot of android phones, but they have plans to run minecraft on them. Obviously the game will have to be trimmed down to work (on the 3DS or android), probably shorter view distance, some features left out, etc. I don't know how much the sdk costs (but assume Notch "can" afford it) so I have no clue whether it would be worth the price. Reprogramming the game in a different language would be another major obstacle (though they seem to be doing it for the iPhone version). I would say that in the end, all the different factors add up to make such a thing impractical, sorry. Oh, and theres no reason to get all mad about it, hes obviously new to the forums and wanted to put his idea out there.
Ps. I've never actually seen a thread asking for a DS port specifically; Most have been for the XBox or PS3. (probably has been some though)
Edit: Oh, and its almost impossible to search for this because you cannot search for things under 4 characters unless you know how to use Google site search (most people don't)
So you want notch to completely re-code minecraft, so that it can be supported on the ds/3ds?

Actually I just checked the specs on the Nintendo 3DS. They were so bad I'm not going to post the link to wikipedia, but it had less RAM than the cheapest computer from 1980. It didn't list the processor speed for the 3DS, but the DSI XL had a speed of 133 MHz, I'm assuming they're using something similar. There's no way Minecraft could run on these things.
I'm not sure how much RAM smartphones have, but I do know that the Droid X2 has a dual core 1.0Ghz processor

Exactly. It just can't support it, unless it is an even more simplified version of the simplified Creative mode going to the Android version.

It also doesn't have enough processing speed.
The SDK is also comparitively expensive compared to android(free).
