So I was playing minecraft a while back and I was thinking, what could you use slimeballs for?
After thinking a while, and with a little help from a friend I came up with this Idea.
Sticky bombs
Easy to craft but a bit difficult to use.
How to craft? = Slimeball = redstone = gunpowder = cactus
:Flint and Steel: = flint and steel
normal sticky bomb:
take 1 slime ball, 1 redstone, and 1 gunpowder and craft like so
This makes 1 normal sticky bomb.
It would look like a normal slimeball except a bit larger, the inner area would look darker, and there would be a spot of redstone on the top, to activate left click while holding to start the 7 second fuse, you will have 3 seconds to throw it or the bomb will stick to your hand, to throw right click. You will throw the bomb in an arc, it will not fly directly at the target. If you only right click the bomb you will merely drop it as if you have pressed the Q key (or whatever key you have your key configuration set to).
Statistics:
Has one fifth the power of TNT when used on blocks, but does 14 damage in a 1 block radius.
If thrown at a zombie there is a 100% chance that it will stick to the zombie's head, arms, legs, and body.
Creeper has same statistics.
If thrown at Skeleton there is a 100% chance that a bomb will stick to it's head, a 50% chance it will stick to the body, and a 75% chance for arms and legs.
If thrown at a spider a Sticky bomb as a 100% chance to stick to head and body, 50% chance for legs.
Slimes
DO NOT USE ON SLIMES
If a sticky bomb is thrown at a slime the slime will absorb the bomb and become an exploding Slime. small slimes have small damage, normal has the same damage, big has the same amount of damage as a creeper, and Huge slimes do the same amount of damage as TNT.
Ghast
100% chance for body, 20% chance for tentacles.
All other mobs: 100% for Body, head, legs and arms.
Players:
Same as zombie, but we have armor.
Cactus bomb:
How to Craft?
:Green::GP::Green:
:Green::GP::Green:
Statistics:
Used as a weapon against buildings, sticks to everything except obsidian, ores, and glass.
Same activation process, looks like a slime ball reskined to look like a cactus and covered in spikes. Throw at buildings to blow holes in walls or make traps. Only deals 3 1/2 damage yet is easier to produce. Has the half the blast radius as TNT.
Only sticks to Players without armor on the part that you hit (lets say someone is wearing a Helmet and you throw the bomb at their head, it will not stick).
Does not stick to Skeletons and spiders. sticks to everything else.
Smaller throwing range. If you are to close to your target you will take 1/2 a heart of damage when you stick it on.
Sticky Fire Bomb
How to Craft?
:Flint and Steel:
Sets fire to target, same statistics as the Normal Sticky bomb expect fire damage is dealt instead of the explosive damage.
I hope you all like this suggestion, Please comment and give me feedback!

that would be AWESOME!!! haha
so who would make the mod?
Never seen an idea like this! I like some of it, but one "Sticky bomb" type is enough. We dont need fire bombs and cacti bombs too. And: Im not wasting a flint and steel for just ONE fire bomb!
But anyway, take this:
....BOOOOOOM!
No offence, like the idea :tongue.gif:

Yes, we do need to find a use for slimes, but duplicating the same item with a different crafting recipe is not the way to go.
