This is an attempt at adding a Nether ore to Minecraft. In the Nether, it is as common as iron. However, it is hard to spot as it gives off a purple colour It is extremely unstable, making it the perfect ore for PvP.
Like diamond, mining it with a Diamond pickaxe will drop Warp gems, ready for use in crafting. Tools made from it are extremely unstable, having a pathetic 10 durability. However, they have the effectiveness of diamond, along with special effects that vary by the tool.
A sword crafted from one has the ability to ignore armor, making it the perfect PvP weapon. it deals 2.5 damage.
A pickaxe has the ability to not only mine the same stuff as diamond, but it will punch out any blocks adjacent to it, allowing you to mine a huge number of blocks at a rapid pace. Very handy for sieging an enemy's fort.
A shovel crafted from this can instant mine as well as breaking blocks adjacent to the targeted block. Useful for Spleef.
An axe crafted from from this chops down an entire tree in one use! bye-bye tree house!
A hoe crafted from this causes crops to act weird. Instead of growing wheat, ores grow instead! Most often, Warp ore appears, with Coal, Gold, Iron, and in some cases, Redstone, appearing also. Diamond does not appear, at all (maybe it should? I'm not sure :unsure.gif: ).
As with any metal, you can craft 9 of them into a purple block. You cant craft armor as it is too unstable.

I have a lot against this... For one it feels as if it only focuses mostly on SMP and not SSP. I'm also confused on why it's called Warp Stone because it has nothing to do with warping.

Warp ore farm with the hoe anyone? Not the worst of suggestions but I figure this focuses a lot on griefing and multiplayer PvP servers.
It is. Warp Ore was specifically designed for PvP in mind. Also, coal, iron, and gold can grow as well. You can only till a 10 block field per hoe however. I guess I can flesh out the chances of a particular ore growing...

It distorts space and time to yeild it's effects. There are multiple definitions of "Warp" you know.
