I was walking down the street yesterday, and noticed how many of the trees had more than one trunk. I was thinking that this could be an easy and small addition to Minecrafts' trees.
There could be a 10% chance of a tree to have 2 trunks, and maybe 2.5% to have 3 trunks.
When it comes to farming trees, the computer would check if there was a tree already grown next to the sapling to determine of it could be multi-trunked or not. If a tree WAS next to a sapling, that sapling would only be mono-trunked, else the chance would still exist for a multi-trunked tree.
It would appear like:
This is a small suggestion, but it would look pretty nice.
It's not a new kind of tree, it's a new way to generate trees. Just like branched trees. And, why would you NOT add more species of trees? It'll help to increase the diversity in the Minecraft world, which I don't think it a bad thing. I support!
Because there are other things better to code...? ;)Diversity amongst other things would be nice... But why trees?

There doesn't need to be 10,000 trees, just some to add a little diversity while exploring. I'd say around 8 would be good.
+1 support. But really, you should flesh it out more. What is the chance of this? Would it vary from tree type to tree type? You're a ghast hunter, think of these things!

I stated the chances, and it wouldn't vary from the species.

More like
We already do have larger trees, and its simple enough to just construct some "Double" trunks underneath an already existing large tree.

Oh, sorry, didn't see that. What would it look like?
Someone else had asked that so I have now edited the general appearance in.
I see. That isn't very descriptive, so I think I will see if I can make an in-game image.
