As many of you probably are, I'm a big harvest moon fan. One of the interesting things from the old Harvest Moon games was that the rain affected your gameplay.
What I have in mind as an idea for minecraft is that if you, the player, worked outside in the rain, you could get sick.
You would maybe walk slower, and mine blocks slower, while sick.
To cure yourself you would have to craft some medicine or maybe rest in a bed.
This would add a new crafting material to the game, as well as affect your gameplay. Do you work in the rain today, or be forced to work indoors/underground?
