So, I've always had this uncompact problem with redstone wiring. If you put a redstone wire and then a repeater at a curve, it should connect. This picture explains it better: = Wire = Repeater

The "connection wire" should actually connect with the Redstone Repeater (As a redstone repeater can only transfer power through one side) So it would allow compact repeaters. Currently, there are like this:
