If this were to be implemeted, it would be OPTIONAL.
A suggestion for realistic mode where won't instantly regain hearts.
A Minor Flesh Wound
After getting attacked, the mechanics change. You move slower, and you may lose even more hearts.
Also, changing are different hitboxes.
Damage is greaty reduced with the corresponding piece of armour.
Dealing Most hits to you is the "head" area. Then chest, after that legs, and finally feet.
However, leg & foot damage reduces speed the most.
To the Hospital!
Basically, there's an unseen meter. Different levels in the meter correspond to maximum heart levels.
Things that raise the meter:
Staying in bed
Eating
Keeping movement to a minimum.
wearing a Bandage in the corresponding slot (1x3 wool colum= 1 Bandage Set)
Time without taking damage
Things that lower the meter:
Taking damage
Running/ Moving around alot( Negated by bandage)
This would allow for realism, more use for beds & wool, and needing to be more careful.
Closing Thoughts:]
The best way to implent this would be if death had more of a bad effect.
Also, with this on, slightly less damage is taken overall.
