First of all i have some ideas that they should add to minecraft.
Panels
They could be like sideways half steps. Why not. They could be coded easily and could enable more details in things and thinner walls. They could be made of wood, stone, glass, gold, iron, and diamond. They could be used with half steps to make tubes to direct water for longer than 9 blocks.
The crafting recipe :

You would get three from the recipe like half steps and could be stackable to 64
Pipes
They could be crafted with panels and half steps to enable transport of liquids farther than nine blocks if you dont have a bucket. They could transfer liquids into places such as mountains and deserts which dont have water. also could be used to transport magma to the surface in large quantities without have to run back and forth or carry tons of unstackable buckets. Would have to use pumps to get the liquids to go upwards.
Crafting recipe:

With cobble being panels. You would get two pipes sections for crafting these and would stack up to 64.
Pumps
With pumps you could use in unison with pipes to force liquids to travel miles and upwards at your will. Could be used also to get unlimited water from a single water source. Powered by redstone torches.
Crafting recipe:
Sticks being levers
It would be triggered by levers and redstone.
Pump Tractor
An addition to minecarts as a minecart linker and mover. Would be like the real thing in that if you press w or s after right clicking on it to get in you would move forward or backwards on the minecart tracks with the minecarts linked to the tractor. More easily used than minecart boosters and powered minecarts and enables control of minecarts unlike boosters.
Crafting recipe:
[] []
With gray wool being a minecart

That might be a bit of a pain to code, and there would be no real purpose for then other than aesthetic ones, but for those aesthetic reasons, I would have to agree that they would be a decent addition to the game.
