The gholsk is a pretty simple idea. It works almost the same as a zombie. But it's skin texture changes its level of transparency relative to how close it is to the player, or any player if on SMP.
I'll need some help determining exactly what the levels of transparency should be at exactly what distances. I was thinking that being 15 blocks or more away from a player gives it 10% visibility, 10 blocks away gives it 25% visibility, 5 blocks gives it 50%, 4 blocks gives 60%, 3 blocks gives 70%, 2 blocks gives 80%, 1 block away gives 90%, and it only has 100% visibility when it is literally straight up against you.
What do you think? Change some of the more exact details? Don't like the concept at all? Like the concept a lot? Give me any constructive criticisms and feedback.
