I like to see the Limit on Spirits eather increased or removed. Notch has stated he wants mods to be part of Mincecraft but your are limited to the number you use be the Spirit limit. Realy comes into play when you use the larger mods like BuildCraft and IndustrialCraft.
Do you mean the sprite limit? Or does Minecraft restrict how many ghosts can be near your computer at once? Spellcheck would really help here.
A limit to the number of mods you use... NO!
Assuming he does mean the sprite limit, that's not what it does. The way it limits mods is that there can only be a limited number of item types, so if you have Mod A that adds a bunch of food and Mod B that adds a bunch of tools, you may go over the limit.
And I'm in favor of expanding it as well, but I think there are technical reasons for it's existence, relating to how item data is stored.

Yay for contradicting yourself.
It is limiting the number of mods you use, if he is talking about the sprite limit, by placing a max number of sprites that can be in the game. It's a roundabout method, but it does limit the number of mods you can use.

Let's suffice to say I don't think using frickin flint and steel is going to light moss on fire...
The fatal flaw in that is Spirit and Sprite are both words. Protip (from my kindergarten teacher): Sound it out. Anywho, we already have a BlockID that is not only tiny, it could be eliminated or expanded easily. Why do we need MORE limitations?

True. If you say that this would not effect mod limits, then go on to say all it does is cap sprite limits, THEN go on to say sprite limit caps affect the number of mods you can have, it is the same thing as saying that this caps mod amounts.
If A = B and B = C, than A = C.
