So, I've been thinking of an idea for awhile and I kind of want to say it. Short and simple, not hard to code, just a lot of blocks to make probably. The crafting table would consist of a wool dye of any color over a bucket of water, and this would make paint of the color of the dye you placed into the bucket of water. This would produce 6 paint. The paint can only be used on wooden planks, half wood steps, and wood stairs and the wood would become the color of the paint. The 6 paint makes it easy for large wood coloring projects so you don't have to work forever to paint your house. If you already own a wood house and don't want to take it apart to individually paint all the blocks, the paint can be applied dirrectly to the wood block by right clicking.
II'de like a white wooden house instead of a white wool house. Wood looks a lot better as a housing material than wool so I assume this would make for a fun and practical addition to minecraft. I'm not sure if this has been suggested or in other forms, (I know the 2x2 crafting grid suggested colored sand and glass), but I find it as a nice solution to colored and pretty houses instead of stone or wool.
