so you guys know how farm animals despawn after a while? well this sucks for people who try too keep chickens to gain a lot of eggs, and for other things like cows, pigs, etc.
so I thought that maybe it would be cool if there was an item that could make it so the animals didn't despawn, and another item that alows you to force them in a different direction.
Use the branding iron to make animals stay spawned, and a cattle prod to force them in a direction (to corral them)

EVERY recipe would require at least one lead block.
Even food.
ESPECIALLY food.
Rather than make them not despawn, why not just make them spawn more often by strategic placement of torches?
no, i mean to keep them spawned so chickens will keep laying eggs
i don't know, its just an idea
Ah. Well, I think eggs were meant to be rare, I've managed to accumulate eggs from chickens getting stuck in small open spaces in a wall and laying eggs there on a regular basis.
this is a good idea notch i think did a taming mechanic in wurm online why not add livestock and breeding to this and as an adjustment to make breeding more important animals will become rarer
