Again I'm sorry if this was already posted but I couldn't find it in the already posted ideas topic.
I have a problem with the compass, it shows the initial spawn point. However it would be really nice if it showed the last spawn point, our bed. So we could find our way back home much easily since our home might not be near our initial spawn point.
Personally, I think the compass should work like the map. It should point to its own creation point. That way, if you want a compass to point to your bed, craft it there.

I think you are going to love my Survival Let's Play series on YouTube! It's called Spaceboot1's Garden. I make pretty things.

I like. But what happens if you have multiple compasses and they get mixed up?
Actually I guess the addition of maps will solve my problem but a very small coding effort could solve this, perhaps an update of 1.5_2 would solve some small issues like this until the "not soon" update of 1.6 comes out
Well that idea would make the compass more like a gps. I think that it shows your spawn point makes more sense in terms of survival and primitiveness since a gps would be way too high-tech for this game. But maps are coming so this isn't too important :smile.gif:

So what do you think?
