In the OP, it is, assuming you have enough fish. Later, he says "use gold for blue and diamond for red" but he doesn't say it's unsure.
well then, maybe it should be changed... i still think that once tamed, they take your block (if possible) and even if not tamed, they still take your block, it makes it SOO much more worth it

So you waste blocks of diamond and gold trying to tame it?

With a low tame rate, say 5% (Though that still seems high.), the probability in a fraction is 1/20. On average it will take you ten tries. So, say it's a Red Psydragon. 100 diamonds, 10 fish, and 60 minecraft days (or 20 real-life hours.), on average, to tame it. That sounds like one hell of a time getting one. Sure, you could get it really easy. Perhaps, make them not tamable straight from the wild, or make it to where they can't heal you at a rapid rate. I can see how the Blue Psydragon would be overpowered with half the waiting time and the lure being basically useless for anything else, also the fact that it deals damage really quickly that, I assume, you can't dodge?
I would like to have one of my own, but I also would probably be better off knowing that you can't tame them because they would make the game so ridiculously easy. Perhaps they could be lured to stay in a certain area, so that they just kill things outside your house so long as you don't bother it or until it despawns. Then you wouldn't be able to bring it along with you, either. A random blessing, or one hell of a fight.

Yes, and then the cost of taming them is much too high. Although with INVEdit, anything is possible :wink.gif:.

its not too high, your paying your price for your power
is it OP, is it not OP. you know what i think. lets say we don't use fish as the taming object. lets use something just a little harder than fish, say gunpowder, why? i don't know, it just seems a little harder to get than fish. and lets make it take longer for a red psydragon to heal a mob. Maybe (notice i said maybe) this would make it just a little more balanced in cost. and even if it doesn't, this would be an epic mod
I will never support taming this beast. It's a great idea, but should any single thing in Minecraft be worth 100 diamonds, lots of fish and 60 Minecraft days (20 hours)? No.

well then dont.. but your geting what you payed for, flying, a great weapon, invisibility, and healing
I appreciate the criticism and support. I'll look again at how to tame them and tweak it for balancing. In actual fact, having them only patrol around the lure was my original idea, but I would also want to take one with me. They are indeed powerful, and very rare due to restrictive spawning behaviour. If I have time, I'll make a model for you guys.
I also noticed no-one was commenting on the drop when killing them, so I will restate it:
Drops: 1 Sparkling Orb
Effects: can heal any mob or player back to full health. Has 100 durability points

Change-log:
-Added a Travel Section, detailing mounting and flying Psydragons
-Nerfed the Red Psydragon's Psychoblast to balance being able to be mounted
-Added a poll to see if one species is preferred over the other. This will aid in balancing the two so they are equally preferred.

for something as you view as overpowered, yes.
cost more, is rare, i think that just about evens it out.
Did you even read my arguments A, B, and C? Once you tame it, all mobs can easily be killed.

really? these exact creatures? with all the advantages/dissavantages, with all sources of obtaining them? really? give me the link.

-Made taming behaviours less restrictive, but Taming only gives a 10% success rate. You can feed them fish to restore their health.
it seems more minecrafty then the others
