And to that guy saying that you save it for later i have litteraly 6 full double chests full of cobble stone. our server has a large mine and pull out lots and lots of cobble stone. we need to get rid of it. trust me = )
Why do you have such a large mine if you don't even need the stuff you're mining? If your mine is so large, you clearly don't need better tools because you're doing fine without. You clearly don't need the cobble because you're looking for ways to throw it away. Redstone and iron are easy to find, so if your mine is huge I'm sure you have plenty. Gold has no practical use that would require more than a few ingots, so you must not need more of that. So... All I can imagine is that you just want to craft a LOT of jukeboxes.

I'm almost 100% positive that this have been suggested before but i'll suggest it again anyways
But you are just making it more complicated by making a complete new item when you could just make a pit with lava in it.[/quote]
It is not that complicated, if there was an update where you could craft trashcans with buckets, you would not have to use trashcans. You can still use lava pits if you prefer that! nobody will force you to use them if they are out in an update!
On the contrary! You have also done the same, you are suggesting to get a mod, then if i would like to take it off use anothor mod! That is not simple. This idea of a trash can my obfuscate you but don't worry it is very simple indeed! Just like a bed you can carry it around and use it as neccisary.
Umm... no. I argued the side of the mod, which is more complex. You said not to make it complex, while your own idea was complex, and therefore contradicted yourself. Not me.

We mine for iron and gold. mostly diamonds! We like them. constantly needing them for picks and shovels. We build new stuff ALL the time. We do use the materials that we get don't get me wrong, but the ability to toss out something could be very use full. For example- if your cutting trees and you pick up a sapling or two along with the wood you need. you go to put the wood in the chest and you see the annoying saplings that you already have 128 of. you just toss them out.

So you're using up picks and shovels... so that you can make more picks and shovels? Do you not see your problem?

Lava avails itself perfectly to a garbage disposal room
Note the half-block floor and the one meter space between the lava and its little overhang. With that you don't have to worry about falling in, and in combination with the half-block and the walls you have an optimal means of plopping the stuff in the lava without it bouncing out (probably better even if the lava were set a square lower, but I like the way this looks myself.)
Modding the game in nearly everyone's belief is a lot more complicated than the creator of the game to add a new block. plus what is complicated about a trashcan? you click on it and it make an item disappear! not complicated at at all! = iron = bucket []
possible crafting recipe!
At KarkasmolenKlok- well if you read any of the comments you would know that slot of people have suggested that. But, you cant just set up a lava disposal thing everytime you want to toss something out. Its not practical! With a single block being a trash can you could easily do it without having to make all the lava and the half block etc.possible crafting recipe! Btw thanks for the pics i may add one of those, the servers one is pritty low tech.= )

Yes it is. And yes you can.
Step 1: dig out one block from the floor
Step 2: put lava in it
Step 3: throw **** in it
Step 4: scoop up the lava and leave
The idea is portability guys. What if it was just a chest that functioned like a desktop trashcan. Any items dropped on it will enter the chest and when it gets full then it deletes the oldest slot of items. This could also be useful for mob traps where items are dropped when monsters are killed. Be creative guys! Many people have mentioned that lava can be used as incinerators, everybody knows this, think about possibilities for something new.

Thank you for all the attention on this post, I'm glad you are supporting this idea.
Well part of Minecraft is that you craft stuff. So yes i do craft picks to make more picks. You need raw resorces to make buildings and things. What do you do all the wial on minecraft? walk around? Well if you do no offence but hey you might want to try crafting items to make more.(thats about what your argument sounds like). Btw everytime i go into the mine i get more diamonds than i use up.
Alright. I propose something new, then. I propose there be some sort of feature that allows the player to take whatever is in their hand or in their inventory, and take it out of their inventory. Like some way for the player to drop or throw the item they have so that it no longer takes up space. And then have another feature that takes these dropped items and deletes them after a set period of time. This completely unheard of idea would revolutionize Minecraft and would be completely portable.

The point is that if there is a mod for it, then obviously somebody saw a use for it. I think with some creative contributions, (not trolling about things we already know) this idea could be pretty cool.

Somebody doesn't understand what "think about possibilities for something new" means. I don't understand why people repeatedly comment on posts if they clearly don't have anything to contribute to them. All you are doing is adding more views.
think about possibilities for something old, but now able to be another unnecessary way.

So your saying we should add guns and being able to craft diamonds out of gravel?
Zosyoung is very good at reading between the lines. And just if you guys didn't know lava bucket=could kill you
Trashcan=safe as a fly. So you tell me. I'm waiting for someone to come up with a better counterargument here rather than "use a lava bucket" or "make a lava disposal." its getting old typing the same thing over and over again. But I'm a trooper and will keep making answers to your guy's questions. ssssssssss

Someone obviously saw a use for "Delicious Blorp Cola" as well, seeing as that's included in the MoreCreeps&Weirdos mod. That does not make it a good idea.
