Mincraft has many beautiful sights, long valleys, towering mountains and cliffs, large seas, but something big is missing from the world generation.
Rivers and streams. aside from the occasional waterfall from the side of a cliff, there are no streams or rivers. I think that on sloping ground (no matter how steep, as long as its more than 7:1) there should be a chance of a flowing stream (one or two blocks wide and flowing slower than the current rate possibly) flowing into a river/pond/sea, or a river (say 4 two 8 blocks wide by two-4 blocks deep.) They would add to the visual appeal of minecraft, and would provide an interesting obstacle to travel.
On this note, Glaciers for snow mountainous snow biomes would be cool, I don't think they would actually have to move, but they would be cool to explore.
let me know what you think! (constructively)

Your idea has already been suggested before. Please make use of the search function or, if you are not in the searcher usergroup (which you can apply to by clicking on your user control panel and accessing the usergroup tab) you can use the google search also found at the default search link, which will provide a search specifically of this site that is quite effective.
It is generally a good policy to read the stickies before posting in any website, and this site is no exception. Particularly important to read are the following:
And, just as importantly, check the List of Already-Suggested Topics. It's not complete, but will save you time sorting through search results if you ctrl-f and find it right away. If something has already been suggested, and you aren't contributing some sort of massive radical change to the notion, don't make a new thread for it, just contribute to an already existing thread.
Thank you, and I hope you continue to contribute to minecraftforum.net.
it's a idea most people want i think I would also want bigger oceans
I only want bigger oceans if we get bigger/fully customizable ships.
Ya bigger ships would be very nice especially if they were customizable but we would need bigger oceans for that depending how big they are. My biggest ocean lake thing is like 1/8 my map and has a bunch of islands in it.

If my idea for a block that takes all the rest of the attached blocks float, that would be so cool.

1/8 of a world with 8 times the surface area of Earth?

I understand that part, but the rest of it still stands.

That's what I thought. Just clearing things up.
k ya if it was 1/8 of my world I would have a big enough ocean.
