If I could think of something cool to add to Minecraft I'd think it would be Mirrors. I'd love to see what I look like from the front while still not being in 3rd person, which only shows the back. It'd allow you to see yourself at different angles in game, holding items. Good Idea?

I would have a Rainy Day texture pack image here, but it was too big.
While I like the idea, it would be a pain to code. (I think)

You invade this world claiming it as your own simply by your presence.
You slaughter animals for their hides and flesh.
You destroy the landscape and gouge out the earth to build your monuments to vanity.
And yet you call me monster.
Your idea has already been suggested before. Please make use of the search function or, if you are not in the searcher usergroup (which you can apply to by clicking on your user control panel and accessing the usergroup tab) you can use the google search also found at the default search link, which will provide a search specifically of this site that is quite effective.

It'd be cool if you could get like one of those infinite mirror effects or something.
I'll tell you right now, the "Game X has them." has been, is, and always will be a TERRIBLE argument. While I support the idea of mirrors each game engine has it's own features and limitations. Java is very, VERY different from RAGE which is the custom engine that Rockstar built for GTA4 based of the AGE by Angel Studios.
So yes, good idea but terrible argument.

I disagree. If Ken Silverman can get mirrors working with Build in 1996~, I don't see why they couldn't be made to work in Minecraft.

Definitely. Build didn't support mirrors in it's earlier versions, but he did apparently the unthinkable and added them in. No doubt the same type of thing could work for minecraft, something like the CCTV block; Probably not really worth the time though.

Yeah, it's quite different. Particularly on account of Java being a language, not an engine. One excuse that never should fly is people saying "you can't have feature X because it's written in Y" because they are simply not informed arguments.
Pwn Nubs.

Aren't they all?! lol
Yes, you can, but with mirrors it would allow different angles. You'd get to see yourself holding a sword in a better angle and what-not.
