Okay, here is my idea on how to buy a Minecraft account!
Notch should make these gamecards that have a code on them.
But here is the cool thing, its in a plastic package with Minecrafts Steve as like an action figure sort of thing and on the back of the box there is the CodeCard. So then when you go home, you use the CodeCard with the Code on it to get a Minecraft Account and you also get an awesome Minecraft Steve action-figure which comes with a little PickAxe!
Im serious. Im not trying to be a troll here, I've been wanting Minecraft Action Figure people along with GameCards so that Minecraft is more well known! =3
GameCards? Maaaaaaybe. Probably more like a, say, 30-day trial account.
Steve action figures: DO WANT.

You invade this world claiming it as your own simply by your presence.
You slaughter animals for their hides and flesh.
You destroy the landscape and gouge out the earth to build your monuments to vanity.
And yet you call me monster.
He's actually saying that both the figurine and the game card (with a code on it) should be packaged together. Kind of like when you buy an actual game, such as, say, The Sims. They have a product serial key that you need to input when you install it. Said key is usually on the back of the instructions manual. This would be the same thing, except that the serial key would be somewhere within the Steve Figurine's box, and only attainable by opening said box.
Now, how exactly to make it so that said code can give you an account, I don't know. But yea, for that to work, the cost of this package would have to be the same as Minecraft itself IS, PLUS, the price of the figurine, as well as a profit to the store, the manufacturer AND the Mojang team.
You may be looking at a 50$ package here, depending on the size of that Steve.

Wraiths: Boss-like mob for Hard!
Same with action figuires.
But the action figure thing, I'd expect Mojang to get that in the Merch section eventually.
I'd prefer gamecards than action figures though.
