I know there's a million of these out there, but I really want to post this :smile.gif:
Locked chests.
You would make a key like... this:
[] []
[] []
[] [] []
And do this to make a binded chest: KEY
And then you would get your key back and a chest in the product square.
That key would be the only key to open the chest. No other key is binded to that chest.
If you tried to break a locked chest it would go on forever- like bedrock.
When you die, you would lose the key and someone on your server could pick it up and use it...
making the game a little more spicier :3
It would only be needed in multi player, obviously, meaning you could still make a normal chest in single player or
as a public chest to your friends. I just like having the thought that someone knows that they need to kill you to take your things, meaning griefing would be a little trickier- but not getting rid of it!
Tell me if it's better than other locked chest threads. This is my first thread ever :smile.gif:
EDIT:
"The key wouldn't catch fire, being made of metal, and it wouldn't disappear- so you have to find the key. 3 chests can't be together and you could do a checker pattern, but... how about that if you break the chest, the items teleport in front of the owner like a mod command. ?"
still seems (like the other similar suggestions) that you can either break it, and get the contents, or if it's unbreakable, you can grief and block off other players' houses with it

try to find a key after lava melts it.
a checker pattern is all that is needed to keep people stuck in spawn.
if the items teleport in front of the owner upon the destruction of the chest, well... there's a crap ton of problems with that as well.
you know it's spammed on the forums, and you posted.
If you know it's spammed on the forums, then you probably have some grasp on the forum rules even though you are new here.
so you should know how many you just broke.
