My suggestion is if Mojang adds the Piston Mod they should also add a new recipe:
This recipe will make a piston that will pull a block and also push the block like a regular piston like
[] = Air =Piston = Any block
-----------------------
[] -//When powered//- []
-----------------------
When the piston will be activated it will extend and push the block as normal, but when it will hit a block it will also pull it back.I think this will be a good use for a slime ball along with other things they might add with the slime ball but this will make hidden doors easier to make for the people who are not redstone inclined (making the pistons fun for a bigger mass of players) and it will also save on the resources required to build the pistons.
Something like that would make resetting the hallway I have constructed that crushes people if they don't disable the trap, so much easier. I support the use of slimes as a form of glue, even if they are adorable.
Well worth the addition of two extra buttons and an RS NOR.

Well yeah, but this is just a alternative for people who cant use redstone all that well, and just a simple solution for some players!
I'm temped to go with the troll response of "LIKE @) PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY POSTED THIS, THINK RETARD" And maybe that's cause somone said that to me when I said this same thing about a week ago. Still, not original, but a great idea. It'll probally be implemented.
i would retort with some witty comment showing you the inanity of your statement, but i can only guess that you aren't charismatic enough to even follow half the words in this reply.

you get + for thinking slightly outside the box (the equivilent (i cant spell) of looking out of the box through a hole) and not thinking of the slimeball as a: posion, gelatin, bouncey platform, and more.
in the same train of thought, you can make sand and gravel stick to other stuff with slimeballs like so:
= slimeball
so you can place the sticky sand like so:
and it wont fall! (unless you dig up the second dirt block, the one touching sand. then the sand block would fall.
oh! oh!
and any sticky block touching water will become un-sticky like before!

Well It certainly makes my trap making life a lot easier :smile.gif:
Actually instead of the manual reset buttons I think a self reset delay timer would be much better. Still needs the memory cell tho because at present the pistons just push out and retract (which is fine if they don't pull the blocks back with them) if they pull the blocks back the memory cell and delay timer will keep them active until their "intended task" is complete. Sorry I'm rambling :tongue.gif:
I really hope this gets the green light and is added to the game :smile.gif:

He obviously means that it'll pull when retracting and push when extending. Fail. And reported.
Great server, great people. Join now!

Pistons + slime(glue) =
Great idea maybe something instead of slime balls (maybe im just unlucky) but I've never found a slime in any game of mine craft I've played.
