Step 1. Go to Google

Step 2. Type this into the search field (without quotation marks):
"site:www.minecraftforum.net thethingyouwanttosearch"

*thethingyouwanttosearch doesn't have to be all one word. But it does help to use as few words as possible.

*try to use words that are unique in the context of Minecraft. Eg. "Redstone" will give you far too many results.

Thought I'd put this up just because alot of people still ask why search isn't enabled, and don't know this google trick.

To start off, head over to http://www.google.com and enter the following into the search bar:


Code: Select all
site:minecraftforum.net

After that, proceed to type in your search query just as you would if search was enabled on the forum and hit enter.

So for example, if I wanted to search for my texture pack thread, I'd search:

site:minecraftforum.net apple craft

And lo and behold, there it is.

It'll be ironic if this has been posted before but due to my disgraceful internet connection right now, I can't even search myself.

I didn't search because I assumed such a thread would already be stickied. How can one search for "how to search"?

LOL. "Use the search" LOLOL "Read this first" is alreadly stickied, how about reading it first?
