So, I was looking through FarmCraft suggestion and came up with a few of my own. This has more to do with crop than the more animal related suggestions in FarmCraft however.
1. Flower Growing
As of now, all these things do is turn into dye/or decorate. They never reproduce or regenerate so you could run out essentially (at least to the point where your not going to search for more flowers)
So, what if a flower could drop seeds (of their color) to any block around it? It would slowly start to go like this:

They would grow into flowers, and the middle flower would die, having dropped it's seeds and wilted. If possible, the newly grown flowers shouldn't be able to "drop seeds" like their parent, because then the map would be attacked by yellow flowers. :ohmy.gif: (Also works for red though)
2. Pumpkins
Pumpkins are rather uncommon, if not rare, and need some way to get more, seeing as they are a common crop IRL. So I propose that you could "gut" a pumpkin by using a shovel on it, this would make a square hole appear in the top and drop 0-2 pumpkin seeds. Gutting is also the only way to put a torch in for jack-o-lanterns if this was added.
3. Moss
Not so much a crop as a decoration, but moss spreads right? I think that you should be able to grow mossy cobblestone by putting a mossy next to normal cobblestone, then the moss would slowly grow (different image steps like wheat, showing progression of little by little, moss growing across it) until you have a mossy stone.
would eventually turn into:
What do you think of these ideas and how/what can be done to improve or fix them?

I'm thinking that pumpkins should be something that you can grow, but that they should be difficult to grow. Maybe if there's too many blocks of water too close to the pumpkins, they'll rot and not give you anything?
I think carving them should give you 0-2 seeds, yeah. That makes sense.
I'm mostly into pumpkin cultivation because I want pumpkin pie. I'm thinking that you could only use uncarved pumpkins for pie, which would mean that you'd have to make a decision whether to carve a pumpkin to grow more, or to use a pumpkin for pie.
