I've always personally thought that bricks are a pretty ugly building material, which is unfortunate because they are so rare; this would be a way around that. This sort of color and texture would be optimal: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... _adobe.jpg
It's a pretty simple suggestion, but tell me what you think.

Minecraft Beta 1.2: "I'll grind your bones to make my bread!"
Sound like it could be good. Could you provide a texture for adobe and give us some facts about it? Mining speed? Blast resistance? Reactions to fluids? Etc.
I mean solid clay blocks (crafted from four clay balls), and I mean the building material adobe: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe

I support this.
Blast resistance and mining speed would be about the same as sandstone. Other than that, no special properties. Just a nice building material.
So pretty much it is sandstone in every way other than its appearance and how it is obtained? Okay, does it have any crafting uses?

And then they'd be a bit like stairs, a good roofing material.
It's mostly just an aesthetic idea, but special properties... maybe it could have a slightly higher blast resistance then stone?
Wouldnt exactly make too much sense to have a higher blast resistance with a less firm material, but still. Nice idea.
