Redstone Blinker:
Recipe: Torch Version Platform Version
= Redstone; = Redstone Torch
The Redstone Blinker will be a compact pulse generator with adjustable time settings akin to a redstone repeater. It will blink on every interval, stay lit for X seconds and then turn off X seconds where X is the set time. Torch Blinkers can be turned off the same way a regular redstone torch is turned off, and the platform version could be powered off by supplying power to the block it sits upon. Blocks that are supplied power are the same as a Redstone torch. (The platform will power the same blocks as a redstone torch would when it is place on the ground.)
Both the forms above I have found to have benefits and flaws, for example the Torch form of it will have the ability to be placed on the sides of walls just as a , but there is no easy way for an increase in blink speed above the amounts built in. While the platforms aren't able to be placed on walls, they could be placed next to each other to add the time of both blinkers.
Redstone Cable:
Recipe: --> 2x Redstone Cable
= Redstone
Redstone Cable is another form of redstone wiring that requires no bottom block to still be a block. It is placed on any side of a block and is oriented such that the wire is perpendicular to the face it is coming off of. Redstone Cable can only be placed in lines and will not accept turns.
It is powdered by only the ends and only powers its ends when it is powered. Blocks at its ends become part of the redstone circuit and can be connected to by regular redstone wire such in the same manner a redstone torch can be turned off by current.
The Cable will allow for vertical wires and suspended horizontal wires and will help to make redstone systems more compact. One common problem is the end blocks being part of the circuit so that they will repeat the current, which would be all that bad if the cable had a powering distance of 9 blocks.
The Shock generator is a power source for resdstone circuits that causes the wire to become "Electrified" and cause any mob or player that steps on the wire to be shocked. It is turned off in the same manner as the Blinker platform I have stated previously.
Another feature could possibly be that the powered circuits could set aflame any flammable material it is attached to when powered, and in such cases for netherrack when the circuit is turned off the fire will extinguish. The powered circuits could also affect other things normally powered by redstone. For example when a powered wooden door is being opened by a unknowing player, it will instead shock them and if the door is trying to be broken down, it will shock the attacker.
Teleporter:
Recipe:
= Redstone
Teleporters will be blocks similar to pressure plates in form and will teleport a player or mob to another sister teleporter. Two teleporter plates will be connected by redstone wire and when a direct connection is made the redstone will turn black (or blue) all along the path between the teleporters (There will be no limit of distance). Operating teleporters will be indicated by the platoforms glowing red and a sparkling of red dust above it. If the wire is powered by any other means when it is connecting two teleporters or more than twoteleporter are connected on one current, the connection will be severed. This will allow for teleports to be turned on and off while also avoiding any confusing scenarios of redstone circuitry.
The teleporters could effective be turned into suffocation or lava traps since the block will only require a space of one block above it to work and a block of lava may be place on top setting the user on fire. They could also be combined with rails so mine carts can be teleported.
Teleporters will also teleport in a manner similar to portals (But maybe at a quicker speed), but maybe if mine carts are implemented into the teleportable entities it will freeze the mine cart and store its momentum, teleport, then release the mine cart's momentum sending it on its way on the other side.
Conveyor Belt:
Recipe: --> x2 Coveyors Belts
= Redstone; = Hide
Conveyor belts are blocks that when powered move players, mobs, items, or physics effected blocks. The direction at which they move can be seen by a blue arrow that is on top, also the direction can be adjusted by clicking the sides in the same manner the piston is. The belts will be powered by redstone, which will allow them to be turned on and off and will travel along conveyor belts for 9 blocks (In the similar manner of powered rails.)
Horizontal and vertical belts are possible and this is determined by which face of a block a belt is built on. This will allow for elevators of sand or gravel.
Even though water can be used as a conveyor belt, it does not allow for easy maneuverability and turn-on/turn-off abilities. Conveyors can also be made to act like rails and slope upwards or downwards if there is a conveyor belt above it or below it.
Changes to the Game
Creeper Sheep:
Everyone walks around the would, punching sheep and slicing up animals to get their resources, but what if there was a woolen sheep barely distinguishable from the others that blows up? This will put people on their watch and make them think twice before punching a sheep.
The Creeper Sheep will have the face of a creeper and skin (Not wool) only a little greener than normal. When a play comes 3-5 blocks near the sheep, it will turn and chase the player with the common creeper "Sssss" and blow up in the same way a creeper does. They will only spawn at night or rarely during the day in herds of sheep.
Que-ed Furnace:
I often find it tedious and inefficient to cook pork at the furnace. You usually can get a max of 7 cooked porks while you still have to watch them cook.
The furnace could be combined with a chest to allow 8 items to be que-ed for cooking , with 1 of those 8 being the currently cooking or smelting item, and then have 8 slots for retrieval. 8 is a good number since it takes 8 coal to completely smelt 1 stack of ore, so 8 stacks of ore could be smelted by 1 stack of coal.
A worry would be using furnaces as storage means, but by combining a furnace and a chest would only get you 17 slots to store which is less than a chest amount.
Island Volcano Biome:
There are already islands in Minecraft, but there are no volcanoes. With this addition a weather event of the erupting volcano could happen which would set island forests and buildings on fire with lava falling from the sky and lava streams pouring out of the volcano. And who doesn't want to have a secret island base next to an activate volcano!
Now this is the end of my long post and I do understand that some of these ideas may have already been stated in some way but the search seems to be broken and I'm too lazy to use Google. :/
I had this idea the other day, too! I was thinking how terrifying it would be to be going along, punching sheep for wool, only to move up on one that turns your way and starts "ssssss"-ing. What I was thinking for it was when a sheep got struck by lightning, making it a rarer occurrence. As well, only like half the sheep's face would be creeper'd with a red glowing eye or something, so that way you really didn't know until you got close. Either way, I still like the idea.
Que-ed Furnace:
Really good idea, it is a pain to cook pork chops as of now. Queueing for items like that makes sense, just allow them to be stacked up to a certain amount in the furnace, but keep them unstackable in inventory.
Island Volcano Biome:
This would be really cool, but it should be island specific because it might get annoying having volcanoes going off all over the world. Or just have them be a really rare spawn. It's a great idea anyway.
All your ideas make sense, and I hope to see some of them added in at some point!
I love the Blinker, I think that definitely should be added to the game, it would help make a lot of circuits much smaller.
The Qu-ed furnace is also a a great idea, but I'm not too sure about the other ideas... *coughcreepersheepcough*
