Fairly simple idea as the topic title states. I find myself with way more wool that necessary, and also find it annoying to carry around multiple pork chops if I think I might be getting myself into some trouble.
So, a new craftable healing item that gives an already existing item another purpose: Bandages!
Crafting could look something like this:

Where the is wool. Bandages could be stackable and still usable in a stack, but perhaps to offset this and the ease of getting wool, it could only heal minimal damage (1 - 1.5 health per bandage?), or heal significant damage (5 health?) but have a "cool down" time (one per day? I'm unsure how this could be implemented from a coding perspective.)
All I know is that I have way too much wool and only need so much carpeting in my house (not to mention not wanting to burn through all the flowers I find!)
Diamond = Bucket of water
Torch = Why? Because you boil the water, to kill all the parasites
Obv, the wool is the bandage
I like this suggestion, actually. Or maybe an additional use for the forge: instead of fuel you put in a water bucket (like a lava bucket?) and then put the wool in, and it makes sterile bandages.
I think the healing over time also is an interesting idea. You could slap the bandage on while you were putzing around your house waiting for the sun to rise, and not have to eat a whole restaurant's worth of pork chops while you're tending to your house in order to heal up. Putting it on would have a bloody wrapped bandage around your head and over your eye. I think it'd be cute. :smile.gif:

That looks like it would make sense. Or perhaps a use for cactus (like aloe) to make a 'healing gel' sort of thing?
Hmm. All I know is that sheep love my yard, but my chests don't love the slow-moving stacks of wool.
