So, my idea came about when I saw somebody else on a server sleeping on a bed...eyes wide open, as if he had insomnia. This got me thinking, "couldn't we have separate skins for separate things we're doing?" If you think about it, there's several areas this could be used. There could be skins for sleeping, damage, low health, recently burned, etc. Of course, if somebody wants to be the sleepless watchman of the night, be fire-resistant, or whatever, they could just not upload a skin for that particular situation.
The reason I'm suggesting user uploaded skins is, of course, that one skin wouldn't work for everybody. People will use differently shaped eyes, or have clothing in different spots, and so on. This also wouldn't cause a delay in logging in online, because the skin files are extremely small in the first place.
So, comments, critiques, "are you god damn stupid"s. Lay 'em on me.
Hmm... You made me lol with the insomnia thing... And yea great idea.. BUT! What about skins? Will people have to make skin packs now? or what? Come on put on those glasses and lay 'em on me!
Oh yeah, I guess I could have clarified that as well. If it was done, I would think the best way would be the current setup, but with multiple "upload" buttons on the profile page for each skin. If you don't want a skin, you just don't upload one, and there should definitely be a delete button for them if you choose.
