problem - when building very big structures, some materials require lots of clicking to make blocks
Elementary example is a sandstone.
So I need 1000 sandstone for my structure and I have gathered 4000 sand.
A press could be some box, that gives you 4 or even 9 spaces (very much like a working table) that you can fill with materials. Limit should be higher than the normal 64. say 200
The press would press suitable materials into blocks automatically.
The process should be much faster than furnace smelting. Press cycle would be 2 per second.
Press would use coal for processing, if you want.
The receiving end of the press should be allowed same 200 stacking limits. You shouldnt be able to PUT things in the receiver and use it simple as a stack place. Only take them out (in suitable 64 item packs)

[] => sandstone

The press could be formed somehow like this =diamond block?
You guys are so unrealistic with your crafting sometimes. That's 45 diamonds. No one has that on their single player world legitimately, and frankly, it's not even worth it. The rest of it is ok, nothing too special.

I have about a stack of diamonds in my legit singleplayer world! I know how to mine unlike you it seems to
And then there's this asshole...
Obviously, I didn't literally mean EVERYONE, I was speaking in general. And no, most people don't have that many diamonds.

wait.. what?
no, screw the diamonds.
You all are looking past the idea - to make a goddamn block press.
just replace diamond blocks with planks. whatever. That is not the purpose of this post.
Block press? I'm not sure this would really fit in the game, we have craftable blocks and, if you just put one thing in there, it's not really considered "legit". I'm sorry to say I can't get behind this idea, but make it simpler and more legit and you could have a pretty good suggestion

ok.
to make a snadstone, how many sand we need? 4
how many clicks with mouse we must make to get 1 sandstone from 4 sand using a crafting area?
one
good.
now imagine we need 10'000 sandstone, becasue we want to build a sandstone castle
after gathering shitload of sand we are forced to make
10 000 clicks
the press would basically just fulfill the functions of your routine clicking - instead of you "pressing" 4 sand into a sandstone, gathering 64, putitng in inventory, repeating, you would have a machine doing that.
Just load it full with sand and go do other things, and get the final material after some time.
"PRESS" because the process of putitng => [] (iron block)
looks like pressing things together
other materials that make something from smaller parts are - diamond block, gold block, that blue lazi block etc.
it would create the same goddamn legit blocks. only without wasting your time.

In nature it should be looking like this
spaces needed - 1x[] coal feeder, 3x3 material place, 1x [] receiver
