ok i recently purchased the beta and while i'm so far happy here are a few of my suggestions
+ ability to change field of view (fov, game makes me very dizzy, i'm getting very good 60+ fps, but there is something about the movement that makes me feel very sick, in other games i'm able to solve this by increasing fov, i have very large monitor and small fov make me motion sick)
+ full screen mode (max windows / f11 is not good enough because my windows goes blank when i exit full screen back to windows mode and i have to press like window key to see my desktop and windows again..., would be nice to have config settings and in-game checkbox)
+ key bindings for all keys like f5, f11, ect (f5 does not work for me in full screen mode, don't know why display is like garbled)
+ add say player in multiplayer mode (not just say all and have a different key binding for it, like in other video games)
+ hi res mode (hi res textures)
+ ability to zoom toggle and associated key binding
+ add ability to create bidirectional teleport between locations. (ability to place 2 teleport blocks and establish links between them, so you place a teleport block down and give it a name/alias then you place another teleport block and do the same and then you can link a teleport block to another teleport block by name and the map preserves the information)
+ add ability to bidirectional teleport between servers. (similar to above but this time ability to create a teleport block on one server and link it to teleport block in another server thus establishing a link that persist, the only difference is that when establishing the link one has to select / enter the name of the server to link to and the port number and any password and then the name of the teleport block on that server)
+ server browser (like in other multiplayer games)
+ release map editor (allow user to select map for game mode)
+ release mod sdk
+ related to above and please stop obfuscating public classes, methods and properties, it makes it very hard on mod developers who have to change their mod for each release of the game just because of obfuscation.

I have a 24" and i'm fine, but I don't see why not.
+ full screen mode
If maximized isn't enough... sure.
+ hi res mode (hi res textures)
There are texture packs for this, and this would kill the "L" cobblestone compass
+ add ability to create bidirectional teleport between locations. (ability to place 2 teleport blocks and establish links between them, so you place a teleport block down and give it a name/alias then you place another teleport block and do the same and then you can link a teleport block to another teleport block by name and the map preserves the information)
As long as it was hard to make... sure.

Umm... no.
+ server browser (like in other multiplayer games)
Yes
+ release map editor (allow user to select map for game mode)
I believe will be in official release
+ release mod sdk

Modding is basically a hobby. It is no responsibility of Mojang or its employees to accommodate hobbyists.
Refer to mohawk's post for the rest. As to the dizziness, what movement are you referring to? If moving in a game makes you sick, you shouldn't exactly be into gaming...
motion sickness in 3d games, such as minecraft, is well known issue and changing fov is well known fix.
anyways someone has a simple fix by changing glu.class in lwjgl_util.jar
minecraft folks should try to have some config file parameter to change fov or better yet have a in-game option to change it... why force a sizable number of customers from having to resort to some hack...
i have 28" lcd... 1920x1200 60+ fps
anyways normally changing fov to 100 +/- 10 solves the problem
if the authors intent is to release gpl the game source code when it is complete and sales slow down as they have stated then it should not be a be a problem to not obfuscate public classes, interfaces, contructors, methods and properties...
right now it makes modding a nightmare since each time they make a release they break the mods.
as we can see from the number of mods obfuscating names really does little to protect java, and .net for that matter...

I don't know code well enough to answer that...
P.S. This broke the rules of forum posting.
