Once again, just as in every thread suggesting this: Slimeballs are too rare and difficult to get (compared to the abundance of redstone) to make this practical.
You don't need to turn all your redstone into sticky redstone.

Do you show children your phallus? Is that what you want them to see?

What if slimes were made more common in a future update?
The vertical tower thing is somewhat inconvenient though. For example, you have to get the height exactly right other wise the current will either be opposite of what you need or will be one block above/below where you want it.
Plus, it can't go down.
+1 Support!
Actually, you can get redstone to go down. May I present the following:
= torch on side of block
= block of choice
= redstone
We have ways of making redstone go up and down but those solutions are... ugly. Not quite as ugly as booster cart mechanisms (no offense intended, but they are bulky. I support sticky redstone because it has more aesthetic potential for circuitry going up and down pillars.
While we're at it, sticky redstone should glow slightly brighter.
True... but that could be thought of as gravity, and not actually "sticking".
EDIT: I just realized that my gravity argument... still allows this to work. (even though it's dust so that doesn't really make sense).
My guess is that redstone dust is already slightly sticky (like some sort of powdered clay-like substance) or some kind of static cling keeps it on the side of the block.

Mostly moved on. May check back a few times a year.
i like this idea a lot. useful for when (if they ever do) add on/off lights so i could put them on the ceiling.
what about this, though: when you craft things with the sticky redstone, it would make it also sticky. such as a redstone repeater so that it would stick on a wall. (i would look kinda ugly, but useful)\
off topic - how do you make the picture of the crafting square thing?
There are ways of making redstone go up, but now down on walls. I suggest that in addition to sticky redstone, sticky redstone torches, that can do the opposite motion that the upward inveter does, a downward inverter.

Then I'd be excited. I don't find enough for my liking. Still, I'd prefer redstone wires. I've never imagined slime as sticky.

Redstone is almost bedrock as is, so the slimes shouldn't be too hard.

2) Again, if we have glue, then...ADVANCED WOOD CRAFTING?
3)Good idea.

redstone isn't used enough and this would help,
so would pistons
