In beta 1.3, while in 3rd person, F1 wouldn't let you look at your face. That's why you should be able to look in a mirror. In multi-player, It might be fun to make mirror mazes. I think you should craft it somewhat like this:
= Mirrorx2
(or flipped)
Here are some uses:
•an easy way to see into your Redstone circuits to debug them
•a way to light your mines while having a better way to not get lost in the mines than torches
•making sure that your skin is the way you want it to be
•a way to see the mobs coming from your fort
•a hall of mirrors-fun house for multi-player
•laser puzzles!(Daafie)

I like it, maybe it could somehow reflect or intensify torchlight?
1. if the mirror was parallel to the torch
2. Maybe, if someone added physics for if you added glass (magnifying glass type thing) in front of the mirror

I think there sole purpose would be what a real mirror does.
In Minecraft there should be more uses because of the different physics it has than real physics.

Nice idea! I especially can see the use when used in conjunction with lasers... Laser puzzle! Useful for custom maze maps.
But is it possible in terms of coding?
Your score is a roasted porkchop:
It probably would only be possible if a professional Minecraft programmer did it. (Notch or Jeb_)

One of the most over-posted ideas. Use the search function (whether it is through Google or Minecraft). I have also "created" a block that would work for light redirection with extra benefits, while still fitting in the Minecraft theme (mirrors do, but in conjunction with lasers they don't, the lens blocks could fill part of the role of lasers in a more sensible way, as well as mirrors). I'm sorry. I didn't know so many people were talking about it...That means Notch is more likely to implement them!

Wouldn't it be fun to have mirrors in Minecraft?
