I have a simple suggestion to make Minecraft have more flavor than it already has! When it rains or snows, the HUD could have gather rain drops or ice on the sides of the screen (not the in the middle so we can still see where we are walking). An example is in Red Dead Redemption: when the camera is looking into the rain, rain drops collect on the screen. I found this effect in RDR very satisfying and made the rain seem more realistic :smile.gif: I feel this should not be too hard to implement into the game.
I can see the appeal, and if there was a mod where this occured, I can really see it being used, however...
The whole point of Minecraft is not to have a high graphic appeal, but rather a large scale "sandbox" where the player is free to do anything they want. Weather was just added to add another dimension to the game, but I do not see too much of a point of water droplets/snow flake things obstructing my vision while playing, the actual raindrops tend to do that enough already haha. All together, it is not a bad idea, but I do not think that it is true to the original concept of Minecraft. If the game developers were looking to provide stunning graphics, well, the game would look nothing like it currently does to say the least. The low graphic quality is part of the appeal to some gamers (at least me).
Haha, sorry for the book there. Again, if there was a mod of this that somebody made, and made it well, I have no doubt that it would be downloaded by many players.

Not to mention, 16bit pixels covering your view in not nearly as appealing as say.. well rendered game. It might look fine on some HD texture packs, but the problem there is that those are add-ons. A game feature should never be meant for something that was optional to begin with.
