The "Crying obsidian" looks like stone tainted blue. (Open that tab.) You might notice the thing is just tainted blue, but the block is purple, as if it was mixed with a certian stone. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Netherrack (Open this tab too.) Perhaps it's this stone mixed with obsidian, suggesting that it is sort of a bridge between the overworld and the Nether. (Not so sure.) It can also be suggesting that it is FROM the Nether.
If put in the game, it would be found on the Nether, to be dug up by iron, and resists from explosions.
The "Crying obsidian" Also looks like an ore, like a new metal. The ore should be called "Bluestone" (Originality FAIL!) It digs like gold, but the uses are the same as iron. The pickaxe would dig up coal, iron, lapis, and gold. It isn't to be smelted, because it's time in the Nether probably got it hot enough to not need smelting. It looks like diamond, except that it is dark blue and looks like an oval instead of the looks of a diamond. If a sword, it does the damage of stone, but the uses of a half used diamond sword (763 uses.) It has a unique use, called dark compass (Unique? Dunno.) It is iron but the redstone is gone and bluestone takes it's place, it will track your original portal, and also find the nearest portal. Stackable to 64. It has 2 needles, one blue (Points to the portal you used) and one's red. (Points to the nearest portal.)
And, that's about it, thank you for taking the time to read this.
I just looked over the wiki before i came to this page and I think Notch should bring it back (But really he's looking for a new texture i think, cant remember.)
So... you are suggesting a new series of tools... that have exactly the same stats as a current set of tools?
This thread may as well be deleted if that is the case, as that would be a waste of space.
However, you called it bluestone... and it would be rather reasonable if it functioned like the bluestone from that redstone/bluestone thread. Perhaps crafting it would give you bluestone dust.

Just a reminder of what it looks like, and you may one to pull open a tab for it.
