WHAT ARE CREEPERS???? They aren't animal, they aren't alien apparently, they aren't squid, they aren't chicken.... I have decided... THEY ARE PLANTS!
Well, the new update is awesome!
I started a new world and deleted my old one, simply because the stats would be completely off.
Apparently, if lightning hits a pig, it will make it become the Originally Nether-Only mob known as the Pigman. I havent seen this occur yet, but it will be incredibly difficult to kill these on account of one thing. If the Zombie Pigmen attack in groups like in the Nether, wont this be the same in the common lands of Minecraft?
If its like it is in hell, aka the Nether, it will add a very good excitement to the game, and will make it more addicting, possibly.
The entire thunder topic made me think, that the thunder itself will be something possibly more useful in later updates, like a lightning rod, providing electricity, it could work as a small replacement to the redstone or an electricity conductor for metal, and that the thunder should be attracted to metal as well, making it more realistic.
I believe the thunder can also create forest fires, and that, if my metal-attracted theory becomes true in a later update, can be used as a good trap.
The thunderstorms cause darkness, making enemies spawn, then, seeing as they may spawn inside of a forest, the forest catches on fire, they touch the trees, they catch on fire and possibly die.
Another thing i was thinking of, was the entire precipitation update itself, could it be that the nether has its own kind of weather? Not necessarily precipitation, maybe meteor showers, or something, or lava tides.
About tides there should be tides now that i think about it, high tide, low tide, according to the moon, like in reality.
Another thing about precipitation, is that, hopefully in a future update, people can make a sort of tower, and bring a bucket or something and collect water. Wouldn't be a bad idea, eh Notch?
The biomes, now that i think about it, should also be affected by the thunder, like, well the grass could become charred because of it being hit by thunder, or trees, if they become moist because of a shower of rain, they could become a sort of container of maple syrup, another idea i received, a specific sort of item should also be made and is attachable to moist trees, if they become moist because of an update, and collects maple syrup or other types of liquids from the trees.
Could it be that a lightning rod is created in a further update? People whom are randomly hit by lightning could collect it and use it like a redstone torch.
This would be limited though, because electricity in metal lasts a certain amount of time and doesn't really create any type of light that could create radiance. But, it could be useful in very complicated creations.
Maybe in an update where pulleys come out, people can attach a bucket to them and collect the maple syrup, by crafting the pulley and the bucket together with maybe a type of sticky material or a weldable metal.
Another thing I wanted to address, was the possibility of playing co-op in a single-player world.
Adding people to a friends list then inviting them would be very useful indeed, and it would be easier than emailing a file to your friends to show off your world, or creating or going on a server to play together, and it would be more of a private way to play online....then again this would counteract server creation,
but the friends list is going on the TO-Do List for mods and or a possible update if Notch reads this.
If you have any interests in this, PM me or email me. By the way, just saying, this is all coming from a 12 year old dude so be surprised :biggrin.gif:

Hasn't rain already gained the ability to create puddles in small holes in the ground? I haven't tested that aspect yet, but I thought it would be implemented with this update.
So you could just create a tower with a space for rain to fill with water, and go up there and collect water while it is raining. Also, there is a way to produce a layout of water blocks that allows for perpetual harvesting of water, so a special type of tower wouldn't really be needed.
Tides may be a good idea, however. Though I see little use for them at the moment, they may find some use in the future.
Well, If ever a stable mod for liquid to be one entity (and move as one) then this would be usefull
Anyways Upon the subject of weather, wouldn't it be cool if it hasn't rained in a while the "tide" goes down, so you actually have to pay attention to watering plants or what not

These guys make awesome art for Mods (Items, New Blocks and Mobs)
I will be using them soon
I'm Starting to be known as a Balancer, A.K.A. I'm starting to become pessimist

Nono, i meant that Buckets, could be put down as a stationary block and collect water while you are away, it would take time, but it would be useful nonetheless. The bucket could turn when overly full and possibly create a chain of water that depletes in time. Think of it like a faucet of water and a drain, but the faucet being collected water by the rain, and the drain being time. This could be used to create a chain of water creation, and could be useful for creative people whom wish to make a shower or a bathtub or something...

Well, if you read the reply I sent to Raid, the bucket could be used in regular intervals, with water, and possibly could be filled with water. This would be seriously useful for someone who cant easily access water.

I get it now, but remember I posted that before you posted the reply, anyways, I wouldn't mind that, it sounds fun and awesome
(I was thinking that rain could apply a really shallow layer of water where it hits, or something like that
Thanks for the feedback, and dont worry, It actually took me a while to actually understand the concept. Many things dont seem possible in a mainly cube world, but with liquids, aphormous shapes and more, minecraft helped support these ideas itself actually.
