Minecraft needs the combustion engine. Build the engine out of iron (possibly the addition of other materials?). Then there can be options to put the engine into. There could be the car (build tires and a body, assemble with engine in the front, tires outside, and body in center), the plane (wings, body, and engine), and a motorboat (engine and boat?)
Then the engines will require fuel, which can be coal, or have coal be refined into liquid fuel. The fuel could then be poured into the vehicle. There would have to be some kind of ratio for each vehicle (and some way to tell how much fuel remains).
Of course, each one could have cargo space and what not. It could even advance to having house-boats and motor homes.
I doubt this will catch on, but it would be cool to have modes of transportation that could be controlled. And I have a runway in my city that is worthless because I have no plane to fly ~.~
Again, these do not belong in minecraft. This is like putting a quaint cottage with furry animals in a huge, crowded, polluted city. It just doesn't belong.
