Hey there. This is a suggestion for the claymine (compare to C4 or any other clay explosive). I don't know much about explosives, so bare with me. And no, the idea itself is not inspired or ripped off from Call of Duty. :tongue.gif:
The distinction between TNT and the claymine is the claymine is a directional explosive whereas TNT destroys blocks all around it. The clay used to make it can be molded into different shapes for the explosion. This could be very useful for mining, destroying blocks in a certain direction, setting up traps that deal less damage to your base, etc.
To create a claymine, you'll need 5 Clay and 4 Gunpowder (I know real C4 explosives don't use gunpowder, but this is just a game, right?)
Placing a claymine will face it away from you.
Claymines can be set off by activating it with a redstone current, simply hitting it from behind or in front if you're a daredevil. :wink.gif:
Claymine explosions have a width and height of about 5 blocks, and about 6 blocks deep. Anything behind the claymine will be left unharmed.
I think claymines would be useful to Minecraft, as it gives clay another use in the game, it can make safer, more precise explosive traps than TNT, and gives miners a safer method of explosive mining.
Can I get some feedback on the idea? Tell me what you like about it, what you don't like about it. Share some ideas here. And no, trolling is not feedback. Just a waste of your time. :smile.gif: Thanks for reading!
Its already been suggested, but I really like it. Came up with it my self. Extra

I like the idea. Could use it as a perimiter defense.
Good idea though.
